Setting a schedule for a job determines when the job will be executed. Jobs can be scheduled to execute only once at a specified date and time, daily, weekly, or monthly. To schedule a job first create a new job or edit an existing job. From the Job Properties dialog select the Schedule tab. The different options for scheduling a job are:
Schedule a job Once for a job that you would like to run automatically one time in the future. When the job executes and completes at the scheduled time it will be set as Enabled so that it will not run again unless rescheduled.
Daily allows you to schedule a job to run automatically every day, every other day, or every three days at a specified time. Select the start date and the time to run the job, and then select how often you would like the job to recur.
Weekly allows you to schedule a job to run automatically at the same time every week. You can specify one or more days of the week to have the job run. Below shows a job that will execute at 6:00am every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Monthly allows you to schedule a job to run automatically at the same time every month, or only certain months. You can specify a certain day of the month (i.e. 1-31) or a day of the week during the month (i.e. First Sunday, Second Tuesday, Last Friday).
